Since 1868, pioneers of Prosecco
Carpenè Malvolti Winery
Carpenè-Malvolti is Italy’s oldest family-owned sparkling wine company, founded in 1868 by the desire of Antonio Carpenè – distinguished Scientist, Chemist and Researcher – to sparkle and distill wines with grapes from the Treviso area.
A dream that became a “mission,” now in its fifth generation.
First winery in Italy to produce Prosecco as a sparkling wine, to perfect its method of sparkling and to create – as early as 1924 – the first label with the term Prosecco.

Among the hills of Prosecco Superiore DOCG
The Cantina is located in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. area and works in close collaboration with more than 100 historic winemakers through two production sites: the historic Cantina 1868 in Conegliano – at No. 1 on the street dedicated to the Founder – and the Cantina in Follina.
The Conegliano Valdobbiadene District represents the winemaking excellence of the Prosecco area and one of the highest expressions of Italian sparkling wine production. The hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene with their rapid slopes, often difficult to cultivate due to the variety of soils, have made the rural landscape so unique and spectacular that it has been recognized byUNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
